NORMAN, Okla. – Throughout the past 15 years, college golf has seen amazing growth in visibility and popularity due in large part to the advances in today’s technology. As recently as 2000, the largest majority of college golf coaches primary means of communication were by phone, paper, and yes, team meetings. First Golf World/NIKE Golf Coaches Polls of the Spring Announced
NEW YORK, NY—The first Golf World/NIKE Golf Division I Coaches’ Poll of the spring season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, NIKE Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). Oklahoma State (Division I), Barry (Division II), Methodist (Division III) and Oklahoma City (NAIA) all retained the number one rankings they held in the final fall poll.
Watch List Named for 2010 The Ben Hogan Award Presented by Chesapeake Energy Honor recognizes top amateur player in college golf
NORMAN, Okla. – Chesapeake Energy, in association with Colonial Country Club, The Friends of Golf (FOG) and the Golf Coaches Association of America, has announced the watch list for the 2010 The Ben Hogan Award. The most prestigious award in men’s college golf, the Hogan is presented annually to the top men’s NCAA Division I, II or III, NAIA or NJCAA college golfer taking into account all collegiate and amateur competitions during a 12-month period.
