The GCAA National Advisory Board (NAB) is pleased to announce that the 2010 GCAA National Convention will be held December 6-7 at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas.

Events
We understand with the continuing challenging economic times all schools face, that professional development and convention attendance will be affected. With this in mind, we are pleased to announce the convention fee will not change from the 2009 fee and we will again offer a reduced convention fee of $399.

The site of this year’s convention will be the Tropicana Hotel in the heart of the Las Vegas strip, adjacent to the MGM Grand and New York, New York. The GCAA convention rate is $59 + tax (single or double). The room block cutoff date will be November 14, 2010. Reservations can be made by calling 1-800-634-4000. Once our room block is filled, there is no guarantee of additional room availability at our convention price. We look forward to seeing you at what we hope will be a fast-paced, informative convention

Again this year the GCAA and NGCA have scheduled a Rules workshop for the membership. The workshop will begin on Saturday December 4 at 8:00 a.m. and conclude on and Sunday, December 5 at approximately 1 p.m. The Workshop will take place at the Tropicana Saturday, with an on-course session at Angel Park Golf Club Sunday.

In conjunction with our convention, The College Golf Combines will be hosting a combine on Sunday, December 5 beginning at approximately 12:00 noon. The site of the event will be Angel Park Golf Club, which will coincide with the Coaches Rules Workshop so our members can take advantage of both opportunities.

This year the convention will begin on Monday, December 6 with a full day of activities followed by the Hall of Fame reception beginning 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7:30 p.m. Join us as we honor our members for their outstanding contributions to our profession for 2010.

Our Corporate Partners Exhibit Night will be held Tuesday, December 7 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Great food and drink will be provided as always.

Registration

Transportation

Golf
If you are interested in playing golf while in town for the convention, OB Sports Las Vegas is extending to all GCAA Members in attendance at the convention (12/5-12/9 2009) discounted green fees of $55 (cart/green fee). OB Sports Las Vegas has three properties in the area; Aliante, Angel Park, and The Legacy Golf Club. Please contact Jason Mattaini, jmattaini@obsports.com, to arrange a tee time.
