Georgia College Remains Atop Golf World/NIKE Golf Division II Coaches' Poll

NEW YORK, NY-The first Golf World/NIKE Golf Division II Coaches’ Poll of the fall season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, NIKE Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The complete results, including results from Divisions I, III and the NAIA, will appear in the September 28th issue of Golf World.  Georgia College remains the number one team in the poll, earning 9 of the 18 first place-votes.

The Bobcats won their season opener, the Kiawah Island Invitational, by seven strokes and finished fifth at the SpringHill Suites Invitational, losing to three D-I programs.

Rounding out the top-five are Columbus State (No. 2), Barry (No. 3), Sonoma State (No. 4) and Lynn (No. 5)
 
Nova Southeastern (No. 9) cracked the top-10, after being ranked No. 11 in the preseason poll. Belmont Abbey (No. 22) moved into the top-25.
