Huntingdon Ends the Regular Season as Top Team in Golf World/NIKE Golf Division III Coaches' Poll

NEW YORK, NY—The fourth Golf World/NIKE Golf Division III Coaches’ Poll of the spring season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, NIKE Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).  The complete results, including results from Divisions I, II and the NAIA, will appear in the May 18th issue of Golf World. Huntingdon remains the number one team in the D-III poll, earning nine of the 16 first-place votes.

The Hawks have seven wins this season and are preparing for this week’s NCAA D-III Championship at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla.

Methodist retains the No. 2 spot, a position it has held for the entire 2008-09 season. The Monarchs received four first-place votes and will also be competing at the national championship.

LaVerne (No. 3), Illinois Wesleyan (No. 4) and Oglethorpe (No. 5) round out the top-five.

Ohio Wesleyan (No. 10) cracked the top-10 after being ranked No. 11 in the previous coaches’ poll. Carnegie-Mellon (No. 25) moved into the top-25.
