Columbus State Retains Top Spot in Golf World/NIKE Golf Division II Coaches' Poll

NEW YORK, NY-The fourth Golf World/NIKE Golf Division II Coaches’ Poll of the spring season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, NIKE Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The complete results, including results from Divisions I, III and the NAIA, will appear in the April 27th issue of Golf World.  Columbus State remains the number one team in the D-II poll, earning 10 of the 16 first-place votes.

The Cougars have three victories this season and eight top-four finishes, and will attempt to claim the Peach Belt Conference championship this week.

Rounding out the top-five are Georgia College (No. 2), Nova Southeastern (No. 3), Central Oklahoma (No. 4) and USC Aiken (No. 5).

Indianapolis (No. 10) cracked the top-10, after being ranked No. 12 in the previous coaches’ poll. Ferris State (No. 25) moved into the top-25.
