Huntingdon Retains Top Spot in Golf World/NIKE Golf Division III Coaches' Poll

NEW YORK, NY—The second Golf World/NIKE Golf Division III Coaches’ Poll of the spring season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, NIKE Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).  The complete results, including results from Divisions I, II and the NAIA, will appear in the March 16th issue of Golf World. Huntingdon remained the top-ranked school in the poll, earning 13 of the 15 first-place votes.

The Hawks won their third tournament title at the Wynlakes Wynter Nationals, and have finished no worse than third in any tournament of the 2008-09 season.

Rounding out the top-five are Methodist (No. 2), Skidmore (No. 3), Oglethorpe (No. 4) and St. John’s (Minn.) (No. 5).

LaVerne (No. 9) and Redlands (No. 10) cracked the top-10, after being ranked Nos. 13 and 11, respectively, in the previous coaches’ poll. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (No. 16) moved into the top-25.
