West Florida Remains Top Team in Golf World/NIKE Golf Division II Coaches' Poll


NEW YORK, NY—The fourth Golf World/NIKE Golf Division II Coaches’ Poll of the spring season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, NIKE Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).West Florida remains the number one team in the Division II poll, earning eight of the 10 first-place votes.

The Argonauts won their third consecutive Gulf South Conference Championship title yesterday and they have won five tournaments during the 2007-08 season.

Rounding out the top-five are Sonoma State (No. 2), Florida Southern (No. 3), USC-Aiken (No. 4) and CSU Stanislaus (No. 5).

Columbus State (No. 7) and Nova Southeastern (No. 10) join the top-10 after being ranked Nos. 12 and 14, respectively, in the previous coaches’ poll.

New to the top-25 is CSU San Bernadino (No. 21).
