Semifinals Set at Callaway Collegiate Match Play Championship

RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. – Top-seeded Indiana advanced to play fifth seed UCLA while Florida State – a No. 3 seed – will battle seventh-seeded Middle Tennessee during the semifinal round at the Callaway Collegiate Match Play Championship at The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.

Indiana’s Jorge Campillo, Seth Brandon and David Erdy claimed matches during its 3-2 victory against Stanford. UCLA dominated fourth-seeded Texas A&M, winning four of five matches and halving the other. Florida State overcame an early Texas Tech lead before reeling off three-straight to secure a 3-1 triumph. Middle Tennessee upset second-seeded San Diego State, 3-2, in the final champions bracket match.
                 
In consolation action, Duke downed Arizona State by winning the tiebreaker of combined margin of victory, 10-6. Alabama and Louisville each claimed 3-1-1 victories over Charlotte and Chattanooga, respectively. Host school San Diego beat UC Irvine, 3-2, to close the morning session.
