Pairings Announced for the First Round of US-Japan Matches

 

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif. – Doubles pairings have been announced for the first round of the 2007 Fuji Xerox U.S.A. vs. Japan Collegiate Golf Championship. The opening matches will tee off at 8:00 a.m. at Tijeras Creek Golf Club in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.

 

The women will lead off the day with Selanee Henderson and Jennie Lee of Team USA versus Eriko Koyama and Mami Takeda. Hiroko Ayada and Eriko Kobashi will take on America 's Jacqui Concolino and Alison Walshe.

 

The third match will feature Bronson Burgoon and Kevin Chappell of the U.S. against Yuta Taniyama and Yuki Usami. Japan 's Yuta Ikeda and Daisuke Yasumoto will face Chris McCartin and Daniel Mitchell for Team USA . Stephen Goodridge and Jarin Todd will tee it up against Ryutaro Nagano and Kentaro Shibata of Japan . The final match of the day will feature America 's Rob Grube and Gary Woodland taking on Yohei Nakamichi and Kenichi Sawada.

 

The United States leads the series 24-7 and is looking to claim its 12 th straight victory.
